In February of 1989, the Lord led Dr. Rick Savage and his family to Bethel Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee.  Pastor Savage had previously served as an associate pastor for seven years in Memphis, Tennessee and successfully pastored two additional churches.

  Throughout the years, God has greatly blessed the ministries of Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Savage. The church has experienced tremendous growth both in attendance and in outreach capabilities.  These ministries of outreach not only include Jackson and the surrounding communities but also reach world-wide through the extensive support of missionaries.

  Because of their growth, Bethel sold their former church facilities and after meeting in temporary locations for many months, rejoice as they are moved into their new church building since August 2007.    To the glory of God, Bethel is continuing to serve the community through its various ministries while planning further growth in all areas of outreach.

  Pastor Savage and his wife Debbie have four children:  Joshua, Joye, Rachel, and Jonathan.  They have been blessed with five grandchildren:  Ella Kathryn Gray, Jameson Edward Gray, Wesley Ethan Savage, Annabelle Leigh Savage, and Jake Reagan Savage.
